The City of Deer Park needed help designing and building Cottonwood Park, in the neighborhood of Cottonwood Estates, so they enlisted May Recreation to get the job done.
The park is a Biba Smart Technology playground that features Miracle Recreation equipment. A Mega Tower structure is the main component of the playground. The Mega Tower is one of the tallest playground structures, reaching up to 25 feet tall, and has some of the hightest enclosed slides in the industry.
The Viper Rope Swing is a giant in-line rope swing designed to be used by a single child, or mulitple children at once. It combines balancing, swinging and rocking movements with play interaction; unlike traditional swings, it promotes cooperative play requiring teamwork and balance.
We also isntalled one of Miracle's newest products, the Gravity Rail, which was inspired by the excitement of ziplines and roller coasters. The Gravity Rail lets kids cruise safely through the air, over dips and around curves – no harness required!
A steel octagonal Coverworx pavilion topped with a complete steel cupola was put in to offer shelter from the sun and weather elements. It's a cool place to eat lunch, take a break from playing or for the parents/caregivers to sit while watching the kids play.
Engineered wood fiber from Fibar Playground Surfaces was installed for the ground surfacing underneath the playground equipment. It looks similar to ordinary playground chips but has more advantages; it is spongy enough to cushion falls, yet firm enough for wheelchairs to move over.
