May Recreation recently had the privilege of working with Johnson Development on the new Jordan Ranch master-planned community in Fulshear, Texas. The custom playground design we helped plan and build for the community is a mix of some of our favorite components and structures, offering a wide range of activities in which children can indulge.

Jordan Ranch Playground

The tallest point of the playground is a Miracle Recreation double-deck Mega Tower structure, complete with three slides. The tall tower and giant slides create an exhilarating play experience for kids, allowing them to climb higher and have a view of the entire playground.

For the kids who aren’t ready for that much thrill just yet, there is a smaller Tot’s Choice structure. It has all the fun of the taller structure, just half the height, making it perfect for younger age groups.

The playground also includes a nature-themed element — a scout net that runs from the main rock formation to two fishtail rocks. This adds an element of adventure — kids love climbing on the rocks and navigating the rope bridges. Another element of this playground that contains ropes for climbing is the Gravity cube, a spider-like structure with a cube of ropes suspended in the middle. This dynamic rope design offers kids a place to swing, climb and play while developing social skills through group play and strengthening their muscles and physical skills at the same time.

And last, but definitely not least, we added the element of music to this playground in the form of Miracle Recreation Concerto chimes, congas and vibes. The Concerto line of outdoor musical equipment is an inclusive addition because it allows children of all abilities to play and create music together. They stand at an accessible angle and height so that they can be played comfortably by all kids, including those with mobility devices.
